We came as birdwatchers with a wish to see some birds on Tsoi, New Hanover and Dyaul. We saw everything and more! Really good guide who speaks English very well and is able to translate to local people on islands like Dyaul. Showed us some beautiful places, beaches and small inhabited islands. Food was also really good. We definitely recommend them!

We were on a 3-night birdwatching trip visiting Tsoi, New Hannover and Dyaul island, as well as some smaller islets. Abraham and his wife are wonderful people who, beyond making us feel incredibly safe, offered great conversation and stories about the area. Their English is amazing and they were willing and even excited to go the extra mile! Would definitely recommend booking a tour with these people!

We had an amazing time at Solwara Cottages. Our son made friends with the local kids and Abraham and Lazeline looked after us very well. Lovely people and beautiful area of the world - do yourself a favour and go beyond Kavieng / Nusa to have a trip here.

Great hosts, Lazelyne & Abraham, we had a fabulous time 3 nights, crabbing with the help of local women in the mangroves, no easy feat, wading through mud, but armed with a great sense of humour & laughter for my clumsiness. Feasted on freshly caught trevally, sea crab, wild fowl eggs. Friendly and peace loving islanders to share our time with. Recommended.

We stayed 3 nights on Tsoi with Abraham and Lazeline. We felt very welcome. Abraham and Lazeline are the perfect hosts. We enjoyed the snorkeling, kayaking and walking through the village. The sky full of stars in the night is amazing. We enjoyed the remote place.
Lazeline cooked the best local food we had in PNG.
The Bungalow is very nice and clean.
Thanks again to the whole family for the great time.

The three days on the beautiful Tsoi Islands were unforgettable. Abraham and Lazeline are wonderful hosts. With great attention to detail, they have created a wonderful place. We learned a lot about the local way of life, snorkelled in the reefs, collected shells and enjoyed wonderful local food. Lazeline is the best cook in PNG!😊 They were also very attentive to our three children, who felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun. We can highly recommend Solwara Tours.

I had a wonderful stay at Solwara Cottages. Abraham and his family were incredibly attentive and always made sure I was well looked after. Whether it was strolling along the beach or heading out on amazing fishing trips, they made every experience memorable. One highlight were the trips to the reef with Abraham, where we caught plenty of big fish! Their warm hospitality truly made the stay special. I can highly recommend this place.

We spent four days on Soilik. The boat ride alone was an experience. The hospitality and warmth of the islanders were wonderful. Without electricity or cell phones, we were able to fully enjoy the peace and quiet. Absolutely recommended for those who want to escape the stress.

We stayed with Abraham for three nights. The untouched nature this stay provides, coupled with the authentic village experience was incredible. The bungalow is very neat and right on the beach. Lazeline cooks delicious meals with locally-sourced ingredients. I can highly recommend this place. Abraham and Lazeline really make for a nice experience. You can see untouched islands, pristine waters, lots of fish. The nature, culture, people and food were amazing!!

If your chasing adventure, culture and some excellent fishing then this is for you! A very beautiful and pristine part of the world!

Abraham and his family were very welcoming and I feel put in the effort to make it a memorable experience for us.

It's kind of like glamping back home in Australia with no power or phone reception. Not for everyone but adds to the charm in my opinion.

Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottles, medications, snorkeling and fishing gear if that's what you're into. Some compact life jackets might be an idea as well.

Overall an eye opening experience. Definitely recommend!

We spent 3 nights with Abraham & his devine family at their beachfront Solwara cottages in Feb 2025. What a special experience this was. A walk back in time to the reality of living without power & being immersed in village life. The simple delight of cooking on fire. Hunting fish to eat. Making coconut oil from scratch. Witnessing the tight knit family network & experiencing such genuine hospitality, interest & care. Abraham is very knowledgeable of the area & eloquently provides a service with attention to detail whilst also authentically showing the traditional way of life in PNG. I highly recommend supporting him & his community to increase tourism in the area. The island scenes do not disappoint.
